New Check Point R77.30 courses

Check Point continues their policy on releasing new courseware. The idea was to provide course materials that are as most up to date, as they could possibly be. Check Point software evolves slowly but steadily – the changes include not only new software blades and functionalities that are becoming available, but also user GUI. Check Point puts the pressure on students’ ability to get in contact with the newest software versions and tools. This choice is most probably the effects of revolutionary changes of R80 in GUI/SMS. It is expected that R80 will be deployed in production with some delays required to debug entirely new code.

We have a pleasure to announce that new Check Point Security Administration and Check Point Security Expert are now available in Compendium EC.

The list of resolved problems is also pretty long giving additional push to migrate to R77.30 software version. This includes most important security fix for Check Point Internal CA. Certificates are signed with SHA-2 to conform current security standards. We are also acquainted the list of offered labs is almost static between different course editions. This time it is different. There are new labs covering SmartLog, Threat Emulation, IPS or mobile access with Check Point Capsule.
