Joining Forces with IT Leaders! Compendium CE Becomes Part of the Industry-Academia Network!
We are pleased to inform you that, out of hundreds of applications, Compendium CE, along with 49 other organizations, has been selected to be part of the first group forming the academic part of the Industry-Academia Network an initiative launched by the European Commission to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap within the European Union. This network aims to foster cooperation between academia and industry, aligning the needs of the cybersecurity job market with academic and training offerings.
Through the Network, we will have the possibility to connect and exchange with the 49 other members representing academia (higher education institutions and training providers) and with the 17 pledgers representing industry (Bitkom Akademie, CompTIA, Cisco, Fortinet, Gen, Google, ISACA, IBM, ISC2, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, Leonardo, Microsoft, NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, Orange Group, SANS Institute , SAP, Workday) with the objective to conclude partnerships contributing to the development of the cybersecurity workforce in Europe.
The Industry-Academia Network under the Cybersecurity Skills Academy will focus on several key tasks:
- Strengthening Connections: Enhancing collaboration between industry stakeholders and higher education institutions, European Universities alliances, and vocational education and training (VET) providers.
- Developing Joint Initiatives: Creating joint curricula, mentoring programs, apprenticeships, and other initiatives to address skills and profile gaps in the EU labor market.
- Enhancing Workforce Skills: Building a robust ecosystem to support the growth of a highly skilled cybersecurity workforce in the EU.
- Aligning Market Needs: Ensuring that academic and training offerings meet the needs of the cybersecurity job market.
- Monitoring and Funding: Defining indicators to monitor market evolution and better direct funds towards addressing the needs of the cybersecurity sector.
These efforts aim to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap and create a more secure digital environment for all Europeans.
