Polands first authorized MySql training center opens
Compendium Education Center has acquired a new official recognition. The company has signed an agreement with MySQL AB to become the first authorized MySQL training center in Poland. This designation authorizes Compendium to provide IT specialists with classes on MySQL database products throughout the country. Thereby, Compendium has added five new database training courses to its offering.
These new authorized MySQL classes are designed for administrators, developers and users who are interested in learning how to communicate with a SQL database in their work.
Compendium EC's set of courses includes both basic training - designed for people with no previous database experience - and also an advanced course called "Managing MySQL", which addresses issues such as query optimization and data security. During authorized courses, participants will gain sufficient theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience through testing methods prepared by MySQL.
MySQL AB is a Swedish company, well-known among users of Linux systems. Its flagship product - MySQL Server - is the world's most popular open source database, with five million active installations. The MySQL database is a part of the popular LAMP/WAMP environment (Linux/Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python) - widely used in intranet and Internet solutions. Another recognized product of this company is the MaxDB database server (formerly SAP DB) - a solution designed for high-end corporate users.
Both servers are available through the open-source GPL license and MySQL's commercial license, which is obligatory for companies planning to build the MySQL database into their commercial applications. Many of the world's largest organizations, including Yahoo!, Sabre Holdings, Cox Communications, The Associated Press and NASA, are realizing significant cost savings by using MySQL to power Web sites, business-critical enterprise applications and packaged software.
