Extreme Certified Sales Training v4.0 for Account Managers
Extreme Networks® Sales Training announced the new release of Extreme Certified Sales Training v4.0 for Account Managers which is accessible for partners through Extreme PartnerWeb site. The training is related to Extreme Networks® Extreme Certified Sales Professional (ECSP) certification for business partners of Extreme Networks.
Effective on July 23, 2007, new enrollment for v3.1 has been suspended. Anyone currently enrolled in the previous version has until August 5th, 2007 to complete the program. Anyone who has not passed the certification requirements by that time will be required to re-enroll in version 4.0.
As in previous versions, this curriculum is a self-paced, on-demand program. It consists of eight subject-specific modules and one 40-question quiz reviewing the student's command of the presented material. The total presentation time is just over 3 hours, not including the quiz.
This release also introduces a new format for many of the modules. Each slide is divided into three segments:
- a pre-amble discussing how to set up the slide for a customer opportunity
- a middle section presenting the material as if in a customer meeting
- a post-mortem discussing potential considerations or pitfalls of the presentation.
Of the eight courses in the curriculum, five now follow this outline (and a soon-to-be-released update to the Wireless LAN Solutions module will, too).
All current certifications will remain valid and in force until their scheduled renewal date. Still Extreme encourages partners to look at the new presentations. There are significant revisions between this version and the last one, complete with updated product information and new messaging strategy. Even if a partner has recently completed certification, it will likely find the new information more recent, informative, and helpful.
