Training goals

Desktop Protector performs real-time protection against malicious activity by analyzing application and network (including VPN) behavior on desktops. With firewall, intrusion protection, and application protection, Desktop Protector intelligently and unobtrusively blocks improper activity and reports to RealSecureY ICEcap ManagerY for centralized management and analysis. The Desktop Protector v3.5 training course introduces concepts, frameworks, methodologies and strategies that are effective in successfully using both the Desktop Protector and ICEcap Manager products. The course focuses on hands-on training supported by slide presentations, demonstrations, and lecture. The course starts with a general product overview. After gaining an understanding of Desktop Protector and how it works to secure a system, students install it and learn how to protect their systems. The student installs it and learns how to protect their system. From there, they move to the ICEcap Manager, install and configure it. Students create Accounts, Groups, and Policies, then run and analyze reports.
