SecurID 6.x Installation & Configuration

This course offers hands-on training on the installation and configuration of RSA SecurID system software including RSA Authentication Manager (RSA ACE/Server®), RSA Authentication Agents (RSA ACE/Agent®), and other system components. The subject matter in this course in conjunction with the study of RSA SecurID Administration topics prepares students for the RSA SecurID Certified Systems Engineer certification.

1. Understand the advanced Windows integration features of RSA SecurID software including Offline Authentication capability
2. Install and configure RSA Authentication Agent software for local workstation, web access, and Windows domain protection
3. Consolidate server populations using database tools and utilities
4. Create redundant/failover systems and understand the role and capabilities of Replica servers
5. Install and configure systems to use Remote Administration and RSA SecurID Quick Admin features
6. Perform a product installation in a UNIX and/or Windows environment
7. Plan and perform pre-installation analysis and preparation tasks for UNIX and Windows product installations

Topics:

• Installation and configuration of RSA SecurID Web Express software
• Configuration of Windows components to provide Offline Authentication capability
• Installation of RSA Authentication Manager and Agents to integrate with a Windows domain environment
• Installation and configuration of redundant Replica servers; promoting Replica servers to serve as replacements for failed Primary server
• Using server utilities to consolidate and/or distribute authentication servers
• Installation and configuration of Remote Administration console and RSA SecurID Quick Admin web-based administration capability
• Discussion of integrating RSA SecurID with RADIUS technology and firewall infrastructure
• Installation and system configurations for Server and Agent Host components
• Discussion of planning server installations, distribution, scalability and redundancy

Functional knowledge of Operating System and Networking fundamentals. Familiarity with UNIX and/or Windows system and user administration.
The participants will obtain certificates signed by RSA Security.
