Extreme Redundancy Fundamentals Rev 3.0

The Extreme Redundancy Fundamentals training class provides instructor-led lectures and extensive laboratory exercises. The course presents the concepts and commands required to configure redundancy features available with ExtremeWare® XOS™ 11.3. The primary audience for this course are network switch adminstrators tasked with implementing network redundancy in an Extreme Networks switch environment.

3. Description and configuration of a basic redundant network
4. Description and configuration of a Spanning Tree protocol (STP) network
5. Description and configuration of Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS)
6. Description and configuration of a Virtual Router Redundnacy Protocol (VRRP) network
7. Description and configuration of a Extreme Standby Router Protocol (ESRP) network

Theoretical and practical understanding of networking basics, including: TCP/IP addressing/submasks, bridging, and other LAN fundamentals. Also a knowledge of ExtremeWare XOS configuration and troubleshooting techniques is needed - these prerequisites can be met by attending the Extreme Configuration Fundamentals (ECF-200/5) classes.

The participants will obtain certificates signed by Compendium - Education Center. This course is also a prerequisite for Extreme Network Specialist (ENS) certification.
