Extreme Networks Associate Written Exam

Training goals
The Extreme Networks® Associate (ENA) Certification Program establishes the foundation for all Extreme Networks certification programs. The ENA certification confirms knowledge of the Extreme Networks products and configuring and managing Extreme Networks switches in layer 2 and layer 3 environments.

The certification is intended for individuals responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of Extreme Networks products.

Conspect
Successful completion of the ECF training course (including 100% attendance) provides ENA certification. A certificate with a unique certification number is issued within 30 days by Extreme Networks. ENA certification is valid for 2 years.

Alternatively, it is possible to take an 80-question exam to validate student’s knowledge of basic Extreme Networks hardware configuration using the ExtremeWare CLI. Candidates who achieve a score of 75% or greater are awarded the distinction of Extreme Networks Associate.

The test is administered by Compendium CE in its location in Krakow Tatarska 5 street.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of Extreme Networks products portfolio (hardware and software)
  • A working familiarity with LAN concepts, including basic Ethernet and TCP/IP
  • Working knowledge of basic Extreme Networks hardware configuration and CLI Switch Management and Security
  • Working knowledge of:
    • management access configuration, navigation through the command interface, saving switch configuration
    • Layer-1 Configuration
    • VLANs (tagged VLANs, protocol-based, and vMAN)
    • Spanning Tree
    • IP Unicast Routing and Configuration: static routes, basic of RIP and OSPF functionality and configuration
    • diagnostics on the switch.

These prerequisites can be met:
  • by attending the Extreme Configuration Fundamentals (ECF-200/5) classes
  • by reading existing material like the ExtremeWare® User, Concepts, and Command Reference Guides
  • through practical experience installing and administering Extreme Networks products
