Training F5

Training goals

Gain a functional understanding of the major components in the F5 rSeries platform family. Review differences among rSeries, iSeries, and VIPRION platforms. Initially configure F5OS layer settings and system networking settings, and create user accounts. Backup and restore F5OS configuration data. Create a BIG-IP tenant on F5OS-A and create traffic processing objects. Archive BIG-IP tenant configuration and restore it using a UCS file. Practice basic rSeries troubleshooting using basic rSeries commands, QKViews, logging, and tcpdump output. Finally, configure BIG-IP tenant high availability which includes establishing Device Trust and a Sync-Failover Device Group, synchronizing configuration data, and testing failover.

Audience

This course is intended for network administrators, operators, and engineers responsible for managing the normal day-to-day operation and administration of the rSeries system hardware and BIG-IP application delivery network. This course presents the prerequisite knowledge for many other of F5's rSeries and BIG-IP instructor-led training courses.
