This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to deploy Extreme Networks’ ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller. Students experience the deployment process from the beginning to completion, learning all the essential steps and technologies. Lectures are supported with hands-on experience with ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller and relevant access points. Successful completion results in an operational WLAN with Open SSIDs, encryption and authentication, configuration settings, AP discovery, and equipment profiles used in the creation and management of Sites in ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller.

 

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will have gained the working knowledge to:

  • Deploy ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller based on reference architectures from Extreme Networks customer scenarios
  • Earn a learning credential on the Professional Program training path

 

Audience

This course is for personnel who install, deploy, and configure Extreme Networks ExtremeCloud™ IQ – Controller. Installation and Configuration is the mandatory first step on the progression path to the professional certification.

Prerequisites

You should already possess a solid grasp of WLAN concepts, including 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, Ethernet and TCP/IP, and be comfortable with general wireless network topics. To learn the basics of networking, see Extreme Academy.

Traditional training

Sessions organised at Compendium CE are usually held in our locations in Kraków and Warsaw, but also in venues designated by the client. The group participating in training meets at a specific place and specific time with a coach and actively participates in laboratory sessions.

Dlearning training

You may participate from at any place in the world. It is sufficient to have a computer (or, actually a tablet, or smartphone) connected to the Internet.
